The Homegrown quilt group is here.  We have a new kit for the quilt top in the illustration that makes it easier to collect the right fabrics in the right quantities and make it your own.  The yardage is $9 per yard through March 18th.  The kits are $78 each while supply lasts.

Cookies For Your Sweetie

Here is a easy butter cookie recipe:

1 cup Butter
1 tsp Orange Extract
2 cups sifted Cake Flour1/2 cup Powdered Sugar

o Mix butter, orange extract and sugar.
o Stir in 1 cup of flour at a time, mixing well. o Chill the dough at least 2 hours.
o Roll out 1/2 of dough on cookie sheet to

1/4 inch thick and chill 30 more minutes.
o Cut with your Cookie Cutter.
o Bake immediately at 350°F for 12 minutes. o Cool completely before decorating.

Chilling helps the dough not spread and lets the sugar absorb all the liquid.  Be careful not to overcook for the best butter flavor.

For all you city slickers, that's "Future Farmers of America".  The entire licensed collection from Riley Blake is now in stock.  We tested parts of this line last Fall and sold out immediately.  We have now reordered and added the remaining patterns.  We have a pattern for  the quilt top pictured and it will be free to you when purchase the fabric from us at the same time.
